Analysis of User Behavior in the Wireless Networks
Jacko, Michal ; Homoliak, Ivan (referee) ; Kačic, Matej (advisor)
This paper deals with a problem of analysys of user behavior in the wireless networks. Paper describes design and implementation of a method, which can classify users by their behavior.
Wireless Network Aspects
Pluhař, Ondřej ; Ponížil, Michal (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is about wireless communication, concretely wireless fidelity networks. It deals about IEEE 802.11 standard and also about its modulations. History, development, kinds and properties of wireless network and security is also mentioned. Current situation of one particular company is viewed in further part of the thesis. Some innovations in internet access and security of wireless communication in company network is suggested.
Analysis and Demonstration of Selected Network Attacks
Jirásek, Jakub ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to describe and realize selected network attacks which are taught at the FIT, Brno University of Technology. The thesis includes demonstration exercises that can be used for teaching computer network security. First part of this work discusses theory for each attack and possible security solutions. In the second part the practical realizations (for each network attack) are described.
Analysis and Demonstration of Selected Wireless Attacks in OS Windows
Husár, Michal ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis descibes available technologies used for securing wireless networks and their weaknesses and imperfections. In the thesis there are described network attacks performed on the Windows platform, which abuse these weaknesses. Thesis is also devoted to creation of demonstration video and written instructions for each attack, which can be used for teaching network security.
Analysis and Demonstration of Selected Network Attacks
Černeková, Alžbeta ; Zelený, Jan (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis contains theory of network attacks, attacks description and defense against them. Beside that this thesis includes technics used by attacker when preparing an attack. As a result, there were four demonstrational videos made, capturing ARP cache poisoning attac, TCP SYN Flood Attack, DHCP Spoofing attack and RIP redirection attack.
Analysis and Demonstration of Selected Network Attacks
Gregorová, Pavlína ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
In this Bachelor thesis there are described network attacks which focus on network a computers issues. Attacks are aimed at operation system Windows and its security faults. The aim of this Bachelor thesis is also to prepare materials for lab of course called Security and Computer Networks, which is taught at the Faculty of Information Technology in the University of Technology in Brno.
Automatic Grouping of Regular Expressions
Stanek, Timotej ; Kořenek, Jan (referee) ; Kaštil, Jan (advisor)
This project is about security of computer networks using Intrusion Detection Systems. IDS contain rules for detection expressed with regular expressions, which are for detection represented by finite-state automata. The complexity of this detection with non-deterministic and deterministic finite-state automata is explained. This complexity can be reduced with help of regular expressions grouping. Grouping algorithm and approaches for speedup and improvement are introduced. One of the approches is Genetic algorithm, which can work real-time. Finally Random search algorithm for grouping of regular expressions is presented. Experiment results with these approches are shown and compared between each other.
Detection of Network Attacks Using Tshark
Dudek, Jindřich ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Holkovič, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and implementation of a tool for network attack detection from a captured network communication. It utilises the tshark packet analyser, the meaning of which is to convert the input file with the captured communications to the PDML format. The objective of this conversion being, increasing the flexibility of input data processing. When designing the tool, emphasis has been placed on the ability to expand it to detect new network attacks and on integrating these additions with ease. For this reason, the thesis also includes the design of a complex declarative descriptions for network attacks in the YAML serialization format. This allows us to specify the key properties of the network attacks and the conditions for their detection. The resulting tool acts as an interpreter of proposed declarative descriptions allowing it to be expanded with new types of attacks.
Statefull Processing of TCP/IP Flows
Košek, Martin ; Martínek, Tomáš (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
Network security systems become an essential part of many network structures in both company and university domains. These systems however require a~higher semantic level of network traffic analysis like statefull filtration or TCP stream reassembling. This bachelor work deals with an architecture of flexible network platform capable of statefull processing at multigigabit speeds. It allows to analyze and process incoming network traffic with a flow-based approach rather than packet-based one. The proposed architecture is flexible in supporting wide range of applications, allows performance scalability and state information consistency checking. The advantages and flexibility of proposed platform is demonstrated on several network security applications.
